การออกแบบถ่ายทอดบรรยากาศแบบไทยร่วมสมัย ไปสู่บริบทใหม่ที่เมือง Roswell โดยมีเป้าหมายเพื่อสร้างร้านอาหารที่ให้ความรู้สึกอบอุ่น เป็นกันเอง และคุ้นเคย ส่วนเพดานโถงต้อนรับเลือกใช้ไม้ขนาด 2 x 4 นิ้วแบบโชว์โครงสร้าง จัดวางในระยะที่สม่ำเสมอ เพื่อสื่อถึงโครงสร้างใต้ถุนบ้าน
แนวทางของเจ้าของร้านเน้นโทนสีส้มอบอุ่น ผสมผสานกับเฟอร์นิเจอร์สไตล์ Mid-Century Modern ตัวอาคารตั้งอยู่ในย่านประวัติศาสตร์ของ Roswell ซึ่งในอดีตเคยเป็นศูนย์กลางอุตสาหกรรมสิ่งทอ และปัจจุบันพัฒนาเป็นย่านที่อยู่อาศัยคุณภาพสูง
This project brings the feeling of a Thai living space into a new setting in Roswell, USA. The goal was to create a welcoming front area that feels warm and familiar in a simple, modern way. The ceiling uses exposed 2 x 4 inch timber, placed in regular spacing to show the structure of a Thai underfloor space.
Birdy’s brief focused on an orange color palette combined with Mid-Century Modern furniture, reflecting a sense of nostalgia and everyday home memories for the Gen Y generation. The building is located in the historic district of Roswell, once known for its textile industry and now developed into a quality residential area.
